The Social Dance Studio The Social Dance Studio is a growing dance studio located in Minneapolis, MN.

• Web Design: Bergan Consulting recently redesigned the Social Dance Studio web site to simplify the page layout and make it easier for students to navigate around the site. Bergan Consulting has also created numerous web application to make the site a highly dynamic web application. Features include a dynamic announcements section on the home page to higlight upcoming events and important notices. Announcements are entered by an administrator and can be set to expire automatically. An open-source calendar application was customized to fit the SDS "dance class" model and this application has allowed the Social Dance Studio to organize a complex class schedule for students. Bergan Consulting has also customized open-source software for an online forum and an email newsletter system to allow SDS instructors to maintain close contact with students and generate more sales.
• E-commerce Web Applications: Bergan Consulting created a simple e-commerce shopping cart using PayPal. PayPal was chosen because the Social Dance Studio has relatively few product offerings and SDS wanted a quick implementation with a small price tag. The shopping cart has allowed SDS to begin accepting credit cards which has generated revenue far beyond the cost of implementation.
• Custom Application Development: Bergan Consulting implemented custom applications to interface with the Social Dance Studio's student-tracking application with the web-based email newsletter system. Bergan Consulting has also provided troubleshooting and bug-fixes for the SDS student-tracking system.
